Men's Track Finishes First At Boston University

BOSTON, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's track team earned first place honors on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Boston University. The Minutemen posted five first place competitors to capture first place in the indoor track season opener.
The Minutemen earned 68.50 points to defeat New Hampshire (41.50), Maine (40), Boston University (37.50), Central Connecticut (19.50), Providence (16) and Bentley (1).
Top performances include first place finishes by Kwesi F. Boatengin the 55-meter dash (6.2), Mike Howell in the 400-meter dash (50.2), Dave McMenamy in the 800-meter run (1:58.0), Eric Uliano in the shot put (49'7.00") and Ken Schneider in the pole vault (68.50).
The Minutemen return to action on January 18, 2002 when they compete in the New England Challenge Cup at Boston University.
