AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts fell to Dayton, 2-1, this afternoon in Atlantic 10 women's soccer action. Dayton's Bridget Bushman scored the game-winner in the 75th minute of play to lift the Flyers to victory.

The Flyers opened the scoring in the 24th minute of the first half when Tesia Kozlowski scored from 25 yards out. The unassisted goal, was placed inches below the crossbar and just out of reach for UMass senior goal keeper Julie Podhrasky (Dallas, Texas).

UMass struck back early in the second half, tying the score at 1-1 off a scrappy goal by sophomore Erin Lilly (Ballston Lake, N.Y.). Lilly emerged from a scramble in front of the net and sent one past a diving Stephanie Weisenfeld. Freshman Stephanie Santos (Ludlow, Mass.) and senior Brooke Bartlett (Clifton Park, N.Y.) were credited with the assists.

Dayton took the lead in the 75th minute of play when Sarah Walker crossed the ball to Bridget Bushman who headed in the game-winner.

UMass goaltender Julie Podhrasky had six saves in the losing effort. Dayton goaltender Stephanie Weisenfeld had three saves in the victory. The Minutewomen are now to 7-3 in the Atlantic 10 conference and 10-5 overall. The Flyers remained undefeated in the A-10 at 10-0 and are currently 12-5 overall this season.

The Minutewomen return to action Sunday, Nov. 4, when they take on Xavier at 1:00 p.m. at Totman field.
