Men's Track & Field Competes At New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of Massachusetts men's indoor track & field team competed at New Hampshire this weekend, finishing second with 128 points behind UNH's 134.50 points and ahead of Holy Cross' 98.50 points. UMass placed first in six events.
The Minutemen swept the first three positions in the 500 meter dash with senior Andrew Nowicki (Longmeadow, Mass.) placing first with a time of 1:09.07, while junior Doug Gush (New Brunswick, N.J.) and senior Gary Collupy (North Andover, Mass.) finished second and third respectively.
Other UMass individual winners included senior Mike Harris (Brooklyn, N.Y.) in the 55 meter dash (6.61), junior Brian Cronin (Weymouth, Mass.) in the 800 meter run (2:00.55), sophomore Reggie Oden (Onset, Mass.) in the triple jump (43'03.50") and sophomore Eric Uliano (Haverhill, Mass.) in the shot put (48'03.50"). UMass' 4x800 meter relay team won the event with a time of 8:15.80.
The Minutemen return to action on Saturday, Feb. 3, when they travel to Kingston, R.I., to take on Rhode Island, Brown and New Hampshire at 3:00 p.m.
