Men's Gymnastics Defeats Navy, 202.250-198.000

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Sophomore Darren Morace (Westfield, Mass.) took second place in the all-around with a score of 50.45 as the University of Massachusetts defeated Navy, 202.250-198.000, in men's gymnastics competition at MacDonough Hall. The win improved UMass' record to 2-0.
Morace, a transfer from Holyoke Community College, also tied for first place on the floor exercise with a score of 8.75. Freshman Patrick McFarlin (Longmeadow, Mass.) posted a 9.05 to win the pommel horse, while senior Andy Leis (Suffield, Conn.) tied for first on the parallel bars with an 8.45.
UMass returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 3, as they travel across the country to take on the University of California-Santa Barbara.
