UMass Volleyball Falls to Xavier

CINCINNATI, Ohio. - The University of Massachusetts volleyball team fell 15-0, 15-9, 7-15, 14-16, 16-14 at Xavier tonight. The Minutewomen drop to 3-8 overall, 0-2 in the A-10 this season, while the Musketeers improve to 8-4 overall, 2-0 in the A-10, with the win.

Senior Rebecca Hasson (Riverside, Calif.) posted 21 kills and three digs in the loss to lead UMass, while senior Jenni Drennan (Long Beach, Calif.) and junior Lymarie Llovet (Arecibo, Puerto Rico) added nine kills and six digs.

Sara Bachus led Xavier with 19 kills and 11 digs.

UMass returns to action with its first home match of the year, Wednesday, Sept. 27, against Rhode Island
