Football Drops A Close One On The Road, 24-16

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) - Sophomore Stephan Lewis ran for a career-high 245 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead New Hampshire to a 24-16 football win over Massachusetts on Saturday.
Lewis began the scoring with a six-yard run early in the first period. Massachusetts (5-3, 3-2 Atlantic 10) answered tied the game seven minutes later on a three-yard dive by Marcel Shipp.
UNH (5-3, 3-3) led at halftime, 14-7 on Lewis' second touchdown, a 24-yard run.
Both sides traded field goals in the third period, then Lewis caught a six-yard pass in the final period to put UNH up 24-10. Eric Bross caught a five-yard touchdown pass for Massachusetts to close the scoring.
