Women's Tennis To Host Columbia

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women?s tennis team will host Columbia on Sept. 24, at 3 p.m., at the Upper Boyden Tennis Courts in Amherst. The match will mark the first dual match of the season for the Minutewomen.
The Lions are undefeated (3-0) this season after coming off a 9-3 victory over Providence on Sept. 19. Columbia has a very young lineup this year with just one upperclassman and six freshmen on its roster. UMass leads this series 2-1.
Junior April Madani (Falmouth, Mass.) is 2-1 in singles this campaign, while the duo of sophomore Helena Horak (Westlake Village, Calif.) and freshman Katie Stammen (North Attleboro, Mass.) is 2-1 during the fall.
