CHICOPEE, Mass. - Todd Fowler (Clifton Park, N.Y.) made six saves and UMass got goals from Adam Black (San Jose, Calif.) and Kyle Biedenbach (Camp Hill, Pa.), as the Minutemen defeated Maine 2-0 at Szot Park on Saturday afternoon. Aaron Weymouth made four saves for Maine (1-1-1).
Black tallied the game's first goal in the 29th minute off a pass from Todd Baron (Albertson, N.Y.). Biedenbach added the insurance goal in the 53rd minute with an assist from Jonathan Bibb (London, England) to put UMass ahead for good.
The Minutemen have now won three in a row and will host Boston University tomorrow, Sunday, at 3:00 p.m., following the conclusion of the women's soccer tournament.
