Men's Soccer Falls in Atlantic 10 Semifinal

DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Massachusetts men's soccer team hung tough with the top-seed and Atlantic 10 season champion Rhode Island Rams for the first 52 minutes of play on Friday night at Baujan Field, before falling victim to a barrage of four goals in a ten minute span. Nicholas McCreath had three goals for URI (15-3-1) in that span, as the Rams went on to win 7-0. Todd Fowler (Clifton Park, N.Y.) maded five saves in defeat for UMass. Fowler finishes his career with 259 career saves, second-most in school history. UMass ends its season with a record of 13-7. The 13 wins tie for the third most in school history, and it is the tenth time that UMass has finished the season in double digits in wins.
