ON VIRGINIA TECH: The Hokies are 8-8 in the conference (9-17 overall). Virginia Tech split a pair of matches in Ohio last weekend with a sweep of Xavier and a 3-1 loss to Dayton. Holly Disser is pacing the squad in kills with 3.30 per game, while Rachel Julian is leading the team in digs with 3.49 per game. UMass fell to the Hokies, 3-1, in Blacksburg, Va., earlier this season. Virginia Tech leads the series, 6-3.

ON GEORGE WASHINGTON: The Colonials are 10-6 in the conference and 15-9 overall. George Washington defeated Dayton on Friday, 3-1, and fell to Xavier on Saturday, 3-0. Senior Gabriella Mojska is averaging 4.43 kills per game, while junior Suzana Manole is bringing in 3.09 digs per game. The Minutewomen defeated the Colonials, 3-2, in Washington D.C. earlier this season, but trail in the series, 18-5.

ATLANTIC 10 STANDINGS: UMass still has a shot at the getting into the Atlantic 10 tournament from Nov. 26-27 in Philadelphia. The top four teams advance into the Atlantic 10 tournament. Temple stands in first place at 12-2, while Xavier and Rhode Island are not too far behind at 11-5. George Washington is in fourth place at 10-6, while Dayton ranks fifth at 10-7.

MILESTONE MANIA: Sophomore Heather Holtsberg (Wheaton, Ill.) surpassed junior Jennifer Drennan (Long Beach, Calif.) for third on the all-time assists list with 1,938 career assists. CAREER-HIGH ALERT: Freshman Jennifer Davis (Ventura, Calif.) tallied a career-high 12 digs against La Salle on Friday night.

She has led the conference in digs since the beginning of the season and is averaging 5.23 digs per game in Atlantic 10 matches as of Nov. 13.
