Nicole Szymczak joined the University of Massachusetts Sports Medicine staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in September 2025, providing care for the football and cheerleading programs.
Prior to joining UMass, Szymczak served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Tri City Storm in the USHL for one season. She also has several years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in outpatient clinics.
Szymczak earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Daemen University in 2019 and her Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Buffalo in 2024. During her time with UB, she had the opportunity to complete a season long internship with the Buffalo Bills.
She is a native of Buffalo N.Y.
