Wissmann was named Assistant Director of Athletics/Human Resource Specialist in August of 2015. He is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all new hires and implementing human resource policies for UMass Athletics. He is also responsible for employee contracts, managing and preparing payroll, managing labor relations issues, analyzing training needs to design employee development and enforcing university policy and procedures relating to all phases of human resources activity.
Kevin has been a member of the UMass staff since 1998. He began his human resources career in the University’s human resources office in 1998. He then worked in numerous HR roles for Auxiliary Enterprises from 2002-2015. Prior to joining the Athletic Department, he served as the Auxiliary Enterprises Human Resources and Organizational Development Manager for seven years where he managed and coordinated HR responsibilities of 3,000 employees.
Wissmann earned his degree in managerial resource economics from UMass in 1998 and resides in Whately with his wife, Stacy, and their two children, Kaleigh and Talan.
