Ken Ildefonso joined UMass as its Head Football Athletic Trainer in August 2025.
From March 2023 to August 2025, he was the Associate Athletic Trainer for Football at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Prior to that, Ildefonso served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Philadelphia Stars of the United States Football League in the Spring 2022. He was also a seasonal athletic trainer with football for Virginia Military Institute's 2021 season.
Ildefonso earned a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Southern Connecticut State University, a Master's degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Minnesota State University Mankato, and PhD in Kinesiology from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
In his free time, enjoys participating in endurance sports including: ultra marathons, ultra triathlons, and ultra open water swimming.
