Jillian Jakuba joined the Communications staff at the University of Massachusetts in July 2008. She is currently the primary contact for the hockey, women's soccer, baseball and men's and women's cross country and track & field programs.
Prior to coming to UMass, Jakuba spent three years at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa., where she was the primary athletic communications liaison for six teams: women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's swimming & diving and baseball. She spent the 2004-05 academic year as an athletic communications assistant at the University of Connecticut where she worked with the volleyball, men's soccer, hockey, softball and men's and women's track & field/cross country programs.
Upon graduating from Boston University's College of Communication in 2003, Jakuba spent a year as the assistant sports information director at Division II Franklin Pierce University and was the media relations director for the Keene Swamp Bats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
