Luba joined the UMass Athletics staff in June of 2023 as the Director of Finance & Business Services. She spent the previous three years at the University of Massachusetts' Donahue Institute in Hadley, Massachusetts.
As the Administrative and Fiscal Project Coordinator at the National Center on Program Management and Fiscal Operations at Donahue, Luba gained financial and operational experience. She lead the preparation of team expense report submissions and collected, analyzed data for client billings, including project expense information, and maintained unit budgets. She also reconciled transactions via PeopleSoft and BuyWays and provided insight during the contract negotiation process.
On the operations side, Luba supervised the Assistant Project & Accreditation Coordinator, managed logistical requirements of all in-person and virtual meetings, including national, regional, and internal meetings and monitored staff travel needs. She also oversaw human resource recruitment activities and supported the Integrated Services Team Manager.
Prior to joining the Donahue Institute, Luba as a graduate assistant in the athletics department at Western New England University. She worked on budget management and payment processes for vendors, assisted with research and getting quotes for team travel and helped hire student-workers. She also provided administrative support to Director of Athletics and entire administrative team.
At from Western New England where she also played softball, Luba earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree (2018) and a Master of Science in Sport Leadership and Coaching degree (2020). A team captain, she was a four-time NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete (2015-18) a three-time CCC Academic All-Conference Team honoree (2016-18) and was a CCC First-Team All-Conference honoree in 2018.
