Jason Germain, who serves as the Director of Athletic Events & Fan Engagement at the University of Massachusetts, has been a member of the Athletics staff since 2003 and returned to work at his alma mater in 1998. Germain's current responsibilities include executing numerous UMass Athletic Department events. These events include the annual George "Trigger" Burke Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, sport specific golf tournaments, in-season & post-season hospitality receptions & alumni receptions/events in partnership with the Alumni Association. Germain is also responsible for the management of courtside seats for men’s basketball season and also acts as the department liaison with the UMass Sports Luncheon Committee. Prior to joining the Athletic Department, Germain worked for the UMass Alumni Association from 1998-2003. During his stint there, he worked closely with their Board of Directors and also worked with various alumni club chapters throughout the country. A native of South Hadley, Mass., Germain earned his Bachelor of Science degree from UMass in sport management in 1995 and was a two-year member of the men's basketball team (1993-95). He is married and currently resides in South Hadley.
