Dylan Deblasis

Dylan Deblasis was hired as an assistant academic counselor in August 2025 at the University of Massachusetts, before being elevated to an academic counselor in July 2026.
While an assistant academic counselor at UMass, Deblasis worked with football, and both the men's and women's swim and dive programs. He oversaw a 40-person study hall, managed course registration and monitored eligibility. Deblasis also supported goal setting, prepared adn distributed weekly grade reports to coaching staff and tracked academic performance.
Prior to Massachusetts, he worked at Cedardale Health & Fitness as a manager for three years. There, he led the development and execution of athletic and fitness programs for over 5,000 members using data-driven scheduling. Deblasis alo trained a team of 20-plus staff members, ensuring consistent service quality and safe facility operations, while coordinating events.
While working at Cedardale Health & Fitness, Deblasis was an intern with the Athletic Director at Division III Westfield State University from 2022-23. He assisted with event operations and planning to help the improvement of the student-athlete experience and department efficiency. He also collaborated with event staff and participated in weekly department meetings to discuss events, NCAA compliance and student-athlete needs.
Deblasis was also a substitute teacher within the Haverhill Public Schools, providing classroom instruction and student support.
Deblasis earned earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine & Human Performance with a minor in coaching from Westfield State. He went on to earn his Masters of Sports Leadership in College Athletics from Northeastern.
