Drew Holtgrieve is the Assistant Athletic Director for Broadcast & Video Production Operations at UMass Athletics, where he oversees all aspects of the department's live event broadcasts and video production. Since joining UMass in December 2021, Holtgrieve has helped elevate the department's broadcast operations, leading significant enhancements to its production infrastructure and expanding the ability to produce multiple simultaneous ESPN+ broadcasts while supporting coverage across 17 of UMass Athletics' NCAA Division I sports.
In his role, Holtgrieve manages live broadcast operations, control room workflows, technical planning, and a large staff of full-time personnel and student employees. He works closely with coaches, administrators, and campus partners to produce broadcasts, in-venue entertainment, and video content that showcase UMass Athletics on a national stage.
Prior to UMass, Holtgrieve served as a marketing assistant at the University of Hartford from 2019-21, where he contributed to athletics marketing, ticket sales, fan engagement initiatives, and media production. He also spent time as an assistant baseball coach at Kansas City Kansas Community College and Sandlot Baseball Academy.
A former NCAA Division I baseball student-athlete at the University of Hartford, Holtgrieve was a member of the 2018 America East Championship team. He earned his bachelor's degree in Communication before completing his MBA in 2021.
