David Maclutsky enters his 15th year at the University of Massachusetts in 2021-22 and his eighth as an Associate Athletic Trainer while he continues his primary focus on the day-to-day care and treatment of the men's basketball program as well as the men's and women's cross country teams.

Maclutsky received his master's degree in exercise science in 2001. He also served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at UMass for two years.

Prior to his return to Amherst, Maclutsky was the Director of Sports Medicine at Saint Peter's College after he worked as a certified athletic trainer at Army Prep for one year. Maclutsky also previously served as an assistant athletic trainer at the College of the Holy Cross for four years.

The Colonie, N.Y., native earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Brockport in 1996.

Maclutsky currently resides in Belchertown with his wife, Cathy.
