Chandler Sperrey joined the University of Massachusetts athletics department as the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance in May 2024.

Sperrey spent the last six years at the University of Maine and was named Assistant Director of Compliance in 2019. As the Assistant Director of Compliance, Sperrey acted as the compliance liaison between the university and the America East and Coastal Athletic Association conferences.

In his previous position, Sperrey took an active role in setting up the Name, Image, and Likeness policies in the athletics department. He also counseled coaching staff on the rules and regulations regarding the program’s development.

In October of 2018, Sperry was named Interim Associate Athletic Director of Compliance where he led and maintained day-to-day operations while reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director.

Sperrey started at the University of Maine as an NCAA Compliance Intern in January 2018. As an intern, he created and maintained a monthly compliance newsletter while aiding in the maintenance of NCAA rules and regulations for the athletics staff.

Sperrey graduated from the University of Maine in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology while minoring in Business administration. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree with a certificate in Athletic Administration.
