Simone Morin joined the Massachusetts women's basketball staff as the team's Sports Performance Coach in June 2022.
 
As an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Quinnipiac for two years, Morin worked closely with all performance programming, coaching and player load for the women's lacrosse, women's rugby, women's soccer, softball and women's volleyball programs.
 
Prior to her time at Quinnipiac, Morin spent two years (2018-2020) at George Washington as the assistant strength and conditioning coach. While there, she primarily worked with the women's basketball team, where she handled the programming, coaching, player load, nutrition plans and game-day player on-court preparation. She also managed men's squash, women's gymnastics, women's rowing and women's volleyball, while assisting with the men's basketball team in the winter of 2019 with the Colonials.
 
She also spent time at Kansas serving in a sports performance assistantship. Her duties included managing all programming, coaching and coordination of sports performance for dance and women's rowing, while assisting with the coaching and programming responsibilities for both men's and women's basketball, baseball, women's golf, women's soccer, softball, women's tennis and women's volleyball.
 
Morin held a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coaching position from 2017-18 at her alma mater, Springfield College, and was a strength and conditioning intern at UConn in the spring of 2018. She also spent a season as an assistant coach for the softball team at Springfield College.
 
She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and also certified in Precision Nutrition Level 1 and 2, Reflexive Performance Reset Level 1, USA Weightlifting Level 1, as well as CPR, First Aid and AED training.
 
Morin earned her Bachelor of Science in Applied Exercise Science in 2016, before receiving her Master of Science in 2018 in Exercise Science and Sport Studies from Springfield College. In August 2020 and June 2021, she garnered first place for Powerlifting in the 56KG weight class at the Iron City Open in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Morin took home first place at the Femme Fatale competition in Norwood, New Jersey, in March 2022.
