MacAulay has worked with the guards during each of her six seasons at UMass after she spent two successful seasons helping Dawley coach the Vermont Catamounts to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances.
Most recently, MacAulay's tutelage led 2014-15 starting freshman shooting guard Cierra Dillard to record one of the most successful rookie seasons in Minutewoman history. Dillard had the sixth-most points (319) in a season by a Maroon and White freshman and the most since Melissa Gurile and Octavia Thomas scored 365 and 354, respectively, during the 1992-93 campaign.
MacAulay returned to her alma mater, Vermont, for the 2008-09 campaign after three years at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, and two seasons as a graduate assistant on the women's basketball staff at the University of New Hampshire. At Vermont, the Catamounts were 48-19 during MacAulay's two campaigns patrolling the sidelines alongside Dawley, when they won a pair of America East Conference titles.
From Aug., 2003 through Sept., 2006, MacAulay filled several roles at Carleton. She served as an assistant women's basketball coach for two seasons and was also the director of intramural athletics and sports camps at the school.
A 2002 graduate of Vermont, MacAulay won a pair of America East regular season titles and went to compete in the NCAA and WNIT postseason tournaments during her career. She served as a co-captain as a junior in 2000-01 and finished her career ranking among Vermont's all-time leaders in three-point field goals and assists.
In the classroom, MacAulay, a business administration major, was a Dean's List student and took home America East Academic Honor Roll accolades all four years. She earned her master's degree in sports studies from New Hampshire in May 2008.
