Named the Director of Video Operations for the UMass women's basketball program in Fall 2016, Brandon Jackson enters his fifth season with the Minutewomen.
Jackson joined UMass after serving in a variety of roles at Eastern Michigan, including the two prior years as the Eagles' video coordinator while head coach Tory Verdi was in Ypsilanti.
In his role as the Director of Video Operations, Jackson is responsible for coordinating all video aspects of scouting and preparation for opponents, film exchange, as well as various other tasks daily. He also helps coordinate the summer camp programs.
During the 2011-12 season, Jackson served as a student manager for EMU on the Mid-American Conference Tournament Championship team under head coach AnnMarie Gilbert. After taking a year off to focus on his undergraduate degree, he returned as a student manager for the 2013-14 season under Coach Verdi. Following the conclusion of the 2013-14 season, Verdi promoted Jackson to video coordinator.
Jackson has also volunteered for the High Velocity Sports in Canton, YMCA in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan since injuries ended his playing career prematurely.
In 2014, Jackson earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Eastern Michigan.
