• Defensive back and receiver for Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, Ariz. and head coach Norris Vaughn
• Ranked the No. 5 defensive back and the No. 34 player overall in the state of Arizona according to 247Sports
• Finished his senior season with 53 tackles and three interceptions
• Was all-city, all-conference and all-Arizona as a senior
• Also won all-city as a junior, all-conference and all-Arizona as a sophomore and was named as a defensive player of the year
• Also a standout on the track and field team, where he ran the 100-meter and competed in the long jump and triple jump, as well as on the baseball team as a shortstop, center fielder and pitcher
