Michael Scire joined the Massachusetts football staff as equipment manager in June 2015. He oversees all day-to-day equipment operations for the Minutemen, including practice and gameday preparation.

He was a member of the equipment staff at Boston University prior to his return to Amherst. He started with the Terriers in November 2010, working with the hockey program.

Scire was an assistant equipment manager at Quinnipiac for the 2008-09 season. Prior to his stint there, he worked with the Lowell Devils, now the Albany Devils, of the American Hockey League during the 2007-08 season.

Scire got his start in college athletics at UMass where he worked with the Minutemen hockey program as an assistant equipment manager from 2005-08. He graduated from UMass in 2008 with a degree in urban forestry.
