Parking Pass & Information

In order to ensure safety of pedestrians, students with parking passes will be permitted to park their cars in the lot between 3 hours and 2.5 hours prior to kickoff. There will be no exceptions. Vehicles that do not enter the lot in the 30 minute window will not be allowed into the student village, even if you have a pass.

Lot will open for tailgating 2.5 hours prior to game start and tailgating will end at the start of the game. Tailgating will not be allowed until the designated 2.5 hours prior to kick off.

Student vehicles are not permitted to be removed until halftime. All vehicles are required to be moved two hours post game.

A select number of spaces will be available on a first come, first serve basis to UMass students at no charge – digital sign up portal will be open on the Sunday of each home game week until passes run out or close of business on that Tuesday.

Parking passes must be picked up at Mullins Center box office by 6 PM on Thursday.

Student ID’s are required to pick up the parking pass and to enter the lot on game day. The student being issued the parking pass will be required to read, acknowledge and sign to rules and regulations for Lot 11 prior to be issued the pass.

Passes cannot be transferred to any other individuals. If passes are transferred without prior written permission from the issuing office both the person passing on the pass and the person receiving the pass will be removed from the list for the remainder of the football season.

A parking pass gives you access to one reserved parking space identified by number. You must park in that designated parking space. Issued parking passes for this Lot can be cancelled at any time by the school administration, if cancelled, the issued parking pass becomes void and will not be honored on game day.

Tailgating Expectations & Guidelines

Federal and State laws and regulations on the possession, consumption, and distribution of drugs and alcohol will be strictly enforced.

Individuals must be at least 21 years of age to purchase, possess or consume alcoholic beverages – UMPD may ask for legal proof of identification for anyone appearing to be under 21 and a valid driver’s license or photo ID must be provided upon request.

If you are under the age of 21 and are holding or drinking alcohol you are subject to arrest.

If you are under the age of 21 and are driving a vehicle that contains alcohol you are subject to arrest.

If you are operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol you are subject to arrest.

Unruly or visibly intoxicated behavior will be grounds for removal from the venue or campus, and subject to additional UMPD or school administration actions.
For safety reasons, no one will be permitted on the roof of trucks/cars. Jumping in truck beds is also prohibited. People attempting this will be removed from the venue or campus.

Throwing of objects is strictly prohibited.

Tailgating area and grounds must be maintained in a clean and orderly manner – all trash and recyclables must be discarded in the trash/recycling containers distributed throughout the lot. Bring trash bags with you to dispose of trash.

Anyone who causes or creates a dangerous situation (fighting, threatening violence, throwing of objects) will be directed to leave or may be subject to arrest, as well as further adverse school proceedings.

Tents without sides and no larger than 10 x 10 ft. are permitted with assigned vehicle permits but cannot occupy a reserved space and will not be allowed outside perimeter of tailgating area. Tents must be secured to ensure wind gusts don’t dislodge the tent. Stakes may not be used in any locations to secure tents.

Music will be provided by a DJ hired by the athletics department. Private/personal audio speakers, music systems, bands, and DJ’s are strictly prohibited in the lot.

The student tailgate will close at game time and all remaining students will be encouraged to enter the stadium. UMPD reserves the right to close the student tailgate earlier if environment becomes unsafe or unruly.

Open containers of alcohol are not permitted upon entry or exit of the student tailgating area.

Tailgating during the game and/or at half-time is prohibited.

Parking staff, security staff, and UMPD have been asked to strictly and fairly enforce the rules

Violations of these policies may result in forfeiting all privileges associated with tailgating/attending football games at subsequent games and a ban from the tailgating area.

Please be respectful to all. We want everyone to enjoy themselves. Following these policies and being courteous to others will make this a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
