UMass Sporting Events Cancelled Water polo, volleyball, cross country, field hockey, football and soccer cancel or postpone events.

Amherst, Mass.- The University of Massachusetts has announced the cancellation or postponement of the following sporting events in reaction to Tuesday's attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

Women's Field HockeySept. 14      Louisville                        cancelledSept. 15      Maryland                          cancelled

Men's SoccerSept. 14-16   UMass Classic                     cancelled

The women's soccer team has added a home game on Sunday, Sept. 16, against Binghamton at 12:00 p.m. It is now the only UMass athletic event scheduled this weekend.
