AMHERST, Mass. -- This Saturday, August 18, the 2001 Maroon & White Scrimmage and Steakout will be held at Warren P. McGuirk Alumni Stadium. The day begins at 1:00 p.m., when the UMass football team will hold a scrimmage, free of charge and open to the general public. Following the completion of the scrimmage, a steak and chicken barbecue will be held at the UMass Athletic Fund tent in the southwest corner of the stadium at 3:30 p.m. The cost of the barbecue will be $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for children age 12 and under.
