AMHERST, Mass. - Sophomore catcher Frank Curreri (Weymouth, Mass.) and sophomore attack Sean Morris (Marshfield, Mass.) were each named the Dinn Brothers / UMass Athlete of the Week for their performances this past weekend.

Curreri hit .444 over five games this past week including two home runs and nine RBI including a 3-for-5 performance with a two-run home run and a pair of doubles against Siena on May 4. He also smashed another two-run home run in game two against Temple on May 8, helping UMass take two of three in the weekend series against the Owls. The 6-4, 215-pounder also recorded an RBI in eight straight games before the streak ended Sunday, May 9. Curreri has also reached base in 34 of UMass' 38 games including each of the last 19 consecutive contests. He also leads the team with a .362 batting average on the year, including 14 doubles, 21 extra base hits, 48 RBI, a .616 slugging percentage, a .439 on base percentage and a nine-game hitting streak.

Morris led the Minutemen men's lacrosse team to a 9-6 victory over Rutgers on Senior Day in front of a national television audience. The second year standout tallied two goals, including the game-winner early in the fourth quarter, along with two assists to finish with four points on the day. He finished the season with 24 points in only 10 games, and led the team with 17 assists. UMass men's lacrosse ended its season with a 7-7 recording including a 2-1 mark in ECAC play.
