Several sporting events are taking place in Amherst this week, as teams make their runs to the postseason. The softball team will play three games at home this week, and both lacrosse teams have key games this weekend.
The softball team takes on Connecticut on Wednesday, April 23, at the UMass Softball Complex at 5:00 p.m., then hosts A-10 rival St. Bonaventure in a doubleheader on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, the men's lacrosse team, fresh off an 11-8 win over then-No. 3 Georgetown, battles regional foe Syracuse on Saturday at Garber Field. Face-off is slated for 1:00 p.m. On Sunday, the red-hot women's lacrosse team continues its quest for the A-10 title with a conference game against Saint Joseph's at 11:00 a.m. at Garber Field.
