The men's basketball team improved to 2-0 on Monday night with a 83-67 win over Northeastern at the Mullins Center. Sophomore point guard Chaz Williams led the way again for the Minutemen, recording the first double-double of his career with 20 points and 10 assists, both tying career-highs. Terrell Vinson (14) and Sampson Carter (12) both reached double-figures for the second game in a row. Check out coverage of the game below.

The Worcester Telegram & Gazette has a season preview of the UMass basketball team. Anthony Gurley knows what the UMass men's basketball team has ahead of it this season.

"It's not going to be an easy season," the redshirt senior said. "We know what we have to work on. We've definitely got to continue to get better on the defensive end, rebounding the basketball, and just fine-tuning everything. "We've just got to keep our confidence and make sure we play as hard as we can every single time we step on the floor."
