The match was the non-conference finale for the Minutemen who will open Atlantic 10 play this weekend against Charlotte and Saint Louis at Rudd Field on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

The game will not have an impact on the Premier Development League standings, but a win would make them 3-0 in Open Cup qualifying setting up Friday's match against Portland to determine which team advance to the U.S. Open Cup.
