Dan Malone of the Springfield Republican has a Q&A with UMass football recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach Spencer Whipple. The pair discuss the workings of recruiting for UMass along with what recruits are looking for when choosing to sign with the Minutemen.

Wednesday's national signing day brought 20 new players to the UMass football program while seven mid-year enrollees were also announced by head coach Mark Whipple. The group is considered one of the best in program history and will add depth to what will be a highly competitive program in 2015.
The team will leave for Penn State today where the Minutemen will do a walk through this afternoon at Beaver Stadium.
