Wow! What a finish last night down in Puerto Rico. The Minutemen will be back at it again this evening with a tough test against No. 6 North Carolina State. The game will be on ESPN2 and on the UMass Radio Network (105.5 FM, WEEI in Western Mass.). While you wrap your head around that game, here are some recaps from yesterday's action in Bayamon. And if you haven't heard, Terrell Vinson's game-winning put back was named the No. 1 Play of the Day on ESPN's SportsCenter. The other semifinal will see Oklahoma State and Tennessee play 10:30 am ET on ESPNU
Its gameday down in Puerto Rico! Most of the schools have a beat writer that made the trip to the U.S. Territory but only UMass has multiple journalists covering the event. That's right, Matt Vautour and Harry Plumer have you covered on all things UMass in San Juan. Here are some previews from the UMass duo, along with stories from some of the other schools' writers.
Also, be sure to tune in to the radio broadcast which will feature a halftime interview with former Minutemen guard Edgar Padilla. The game is televised on ESPNU.

RushtheCourt.net columnist Chris Johnson broke down the five best non-conference tournament this season. Among his list is the Puerto Rico Tip-Off which includes UMass and will take place in Bayamon, Puerto Rico Nov. 15-18.
He writes...
First, NC State will test its preseason reputation on a Caribbean island, and the test will not be an easy one. Getting by Penn State in the first round isn't the issue, nor is the second round tilt with either Providence or UMass (though I do expect UMass to make some noise in a loaded A-10 this season).
Read his entire list and a little about each one here.
