Two Minutemen were in action for the Boston Cannons Sunday night during their thrilling 17-16 overtime victory earned versus Rochester at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.
Will Manny (2010-13) earned Coca Cola Player of the Game with nine points via five goals, including the game-winner, and four assists. He was held scoreless in the first quarter but spearheaded the comeback effort with three points in the second quarter, two more in the third, three more in the fourth and an unassisted strike less than one minute into extra time. Ryan Hollenbaugh (2010-13) saw time on defense for the Cannons during the win, but he did not record statistics.
The duo helped Boston defeat former Minuteman Tim Soudan, the current head coach of the Rattlers. In college, Soudan was a two-time all-American at the University of Massachusetts where he played for legendary coach Dick Garber. Soudan was also a two-time gold medal winner with Team USA in the World Lacrosse Championships in 2004 and 2008.
