A trio of former Minutemen were in action for the Boston Cannons during their heartbreaking 12-11 overtime loss to Charlotte Sunday. Jim Connolly (2006-07, '09) and Will Manny (2010-13) had three points on two goals and an assist while Ryan Hollenbaugh (2010-13) rotated into the lineup but didn't record statistics.
After Charlotte controlled the first quarter en route to a 5-1 lead entering the second, Connolly and Manny combined to bring Boston back into contention. Connolly scored back-to-back after Charlotte made it 6-1, with an assist credited to Manny on the second one. Manny added a tally of his own from a pass by Connolly to complete scoring in the quarter and bring Boston back within 6-5. Manny added his second of the night during the fourth quarter rally as the Cannons forced overtime after trailing by four entering the final frame.
