Collegian: Second-half surge leads UMass to victory over BU

Daily Collegian staff writer Jason Kates caught up with UMass field hockey head coach Carla Tagliente and junior midfielder Renee Suter to recap the 3-1 victory at Boston University on Sunday. With the win, UMass improved to 9-4 on the season at the conclusion of the non-conference portion of the 2013 schedule. Suter produced two goals, including the game-winner, to lead to charge against the Terriers.

The No. 13 Massachusetts field hockey team scored three unanswered goals in the second half to defeat in-state rival Boston University 3-1 on Sunday afternoon in the final non-conference game of the season.
