Houston Aeros and former UMass hockey star Casey Wellman eliminated in Calder Cup playoffs

The Binghamton Senators scored two unanswered goals in the third period to defeat the Houston Aeros 3-2  to win the American Hockey League's Calder Cup championship four games to two.


Former  UMass hockey standout Casey Wellman did not register a point in this game, but scored six goals and added five assists in 21 post-season games for the Aeros.  In the regular season with Houston, Wellman was 14-21-35 in 42 games.
