Before UMass: In his first season at Southern Connecticut State in 2019-20, Jones started in all 25 games he played averaging 13.8 points, 1.6 assists, 7.6 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game ... Led the team in free throws made and attempted, as well as blocks, and also 48.3% overall, 34.2% from three-point range, and 88.9 percent from the free throw line during the season ... Scored at least 20 points in five games, highlighted by a 31-point game on 12-of-20 shooting from the field against Stonehill on Jan. 25, 2020, and reached double-figures 18 times ... Also recorded four double-doubles in 2019-20, including a 25-point, 15-rebound performance on Jan. 22, 2020 against Franklin Pierce ... The 2020-21 NCAA Division II season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Jones earned Northeast 10 Academic Honors for the second straight year ...
