AMHERST, Mass. – Junior punter Edward Phillipson was named to Ray Guy Awrd Ray's 8 for week three on Monday afternoon,
Phillipson punted three times vs. Stonehill for 152 yards, averaging 50.7 yards per kick. The Melbourne, Australia, native recorded two 50-plus yard punts, including a 59-yard punt. He also landed all three punts inside the 20.
UMass opens Mid-American Conference (MAC) play against Sacramento State at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday, September 26 (ESPN+). It will mark the first meeting between the two teams.
