AMHERST, Mass. -- Massachusetts Guard Stefanie Kulesza has officially signed a professional contract with AB Contern for the 2025-26 season, announced by the organization on May 16th. The Wilmington, Del. native joins a Contern team that reached the Luxembourg League (LBBL) Semifinals twice in the last four years.

"Positioning herself to play professionally was one of Stef's big personal goals for this season, and her hard work paid off" said head coach Mike Leflar. "Our entire program is thrilled for Stef to continue playing in Luxembourg!"

Kulesza wrapped up her 4.5-year career leading a Minutewomen program that completed one of the largest win-percentage increases in the NCAA this season, improving on last year's record by 12 wins and nine conference victories. Starting in all 32 games for UMass, Kulesza averaged 10.0 points and 6.7 rebounds, and 2.07 steals per game en route to a First-Round bye in the Atlantic 10 Championship and an at-large bit to the Women's National Invitational Tournament.

"On and off the court, Stef meant so much to our program" Leflar continued. "Her consistency and work ethic helped lead our team to a great turnaround. Stef deserves this opportunity! We are all rooting for her!"

The senior guard etched her name in the program record books, tying the second-highest single-game steals mark (9) and rebound total (22) in her final season of collegiate basketball. Tallying 66 steals in 2024-25, Kulesza claimed the eighth-most steals in a single season by a Minutewoman. Over the course of her career, Stefanie totaled 781 points, 526 rebounds, 147 steals across 114 games and 64 starts.

"UMass has been more than just a team—it's been a home, a family, and the place where I've grown into the player I always dreamed of becoming" Kulesza stated. "Since I was a little girl, I've wanted to play professionally overseas, especially in Europe. This program has challenged me, developed me, and prepared me for that next step. The experiences, the competition, and the support I've received here have made me ready to chase that dream and represent UMass with pride wherever I go."
