McKayle Claims Final Rookie of the Week Honor of the Season

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Freshman point guard Yahmani McKayle claimed her fourth Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week nod, announced by the conference on Monday morning.
McKayle helped pace the Minutewomen to a road win in the regular season finale over George Washington last Wednesday, putting up 18 points in addition to two assists and a steal. The Queens, N.Y. native went 6-8 from the free throw line, helping UMass ice the game down the stretch.
The freshman standout finished the regular season averaging an impressive 13.4 points, 3.3 assists, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.86 steals per game. McKayle's play elevated throughout conference action with averages of 13.8 points, 3.5 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.94 steals per game.
