Three Honored as Student Athletes of the Week

Hrabal, Hogan, and Morris receive recognition for stellar weekly performances
AMHERST, MA.- Massachusetts hockey's Michael Hrabal, men's lacrosse's Trace Hogan and women's lacrosse's Kassidy Morris, have been tabbed the UMass Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by UMass Five College Credit Union.Â
Hrabal aided in the team's 1-0-1 weekend against No. 4/5 Maine. He stopped a total of 59 of 62 shots, posting a .952 save percentage and a 1.44 goals-against average. On Friday, Hrabal made 38 saves and was named the game's No.2 star in the 5-1 win. Saturday, he saved 21 shots in the 2-2 tied game against the Black Bears.Â
Senior attacker Trace Hogan made a significant contribution to the decisive 11-7 victory against Vermont on Saturday. The Jupiter, Florida native provided a hat trick and three assists to the goal sheet and logged a caused turnover, which led the Gorillas to their fifth-straight win of the season.Â
Junior Kassidy Morris, led the charge for the Minutewomen in an 18-12 victory over VCU, totaling a career-high 10 points on seven goals and three assists. Morris tied her single-game career highs in both goals and assists in the A-10 opening win. The Washago, Ontario native scored in every quarter of play, including two to help secure the win in the final 15 minutes of action.
