Four Minutemen Earn 2025 All-MAC Honors

Senior Punter Keegan Andrews was named to the All-MAC First Team.

AMHERST, Mass. - Four members of the University of Massachusetts football team earned 2025 All-MAC Conference honors, as announced on Thursday morning. Senior punter Keegan Andrews led the way with All-MAC First Team Defense honors. 

Graduate student defensive lineman Marques White earned a spot on the All-MAC Second Team Defense. Redshirt junior wide receiver Jacquon Gibson and redshirt junior linebacker Tyler Martin landed on the All-MAC Third Team Offense and All-MAC Third Team Defense, respectively.  

Andrews accumulated 3,211 yards on 69 punts this past season, averaging 46.5 yards per punt. He put 26 punts inside the 20-yard line with 21 punts going 50-plus yards with only two touchbacks. His career-long punt of 66 yards came in the first game of the year versus Temple. Against Bryant, five of his punts landed within the 20-yard line, marking a career-best. Andrews earned a spot on the Ray Guy Award Ray's 8 four times throughout the season, winning the accolade in back-to-back weeks twice. He was also named the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week during Week One.  

In the MAC, Andrews ranks first in punting average (46.5), yards (3,211) and total punts (69). He also sits at the top with the number of punts inside the 20 (26) and 50-plus yard punts (21). His 46.5 average also ranks seventh in FBS. Additionally, Andrews now holds the single-season and career-best UMass records for punt average (46.5). He also holds the season record in punting yards (3,211). 

White totaled 50 tackles on the season, including 18 solo and 32 assisted. He posted a team-leading 11 tackles for loss and a team-best five sacks, while adding a pass breakup, four QB hurries and two forced fumbles. At Central Michigan, White matched a career-high of three tackles for a loss of 10 yards. White's 11 tackles for loss are the 10th in the MAC.  

Gibson recorded 616 yards receiving on 63 catches, while adding 39 yards rushing on nine carries despite missing two games due to injury. The redshirt junior had 130-plus yards in two games on the year. He posted a career-high 138 yards receiving against Bowling Green and he caught a career-best 12 passes against Temple. Against Bryant, Gibson made a career-long catch of 50 yards and ran for a career-long 13 yards on three attempts. Additionally, Gibson registered three kick returns for 71 yards and one completed pass for five yards. At 61.6 receiving yards per game, Gibson ranks sixth in the MAC, while ranking seventh in total receiving yards (616). He is also third in the conference in receptions with 63. 

Martin made a team-leading 104 tackles with 36 solo and 68 assisted, while recording four tackles for loss, an interception, two pass breakups and a fumble recovery. He had five games with 10-plus tackles. His 8.7 tackles per game rank fifth in the MAC and 31st in FBS. The redshirt junior posted his first career interception and returned it for a touchdown against Bryant. He totaled a career-best 13 tackles and a career-high 1.5 tackles for loss at Ohio. His first career fumble recovery came against Western Michigan. In the MAC, his 104 tackles rank sixth, with his assisted tackles total of 68 ranking third.
