Van Herwijnen Earns Fourth MAC Goalkeeper of the Week Honor

AMHERST, Mass. -- Massachusetts goalkeeper Myrte van Herwijnen received MAC Goalkeeper of the Week honors, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon. The honor marks the fifth weekly conference honor for Van Herwijnen this season.
Senior Myrte van Herwijnen allowed just one goal over two games including a 5-0 shutout win over MAC foe Bellarmine. The shutout marks her eighth of the season, good for first in the conference and top-five nationally. The Huizen, The Netherlands native made seven saves on the weekend, recording five against no. 4 Harvard, holding them to one goal for the first time this season.
The Minutewomen host Ball State for senior day on Friday, Oct. 31 at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and can be followed live on umassathletics.com or UMassFH on Twitter.
