Linden Earns UMass Student-Athlete Of The Week Accolades

Dean Linden of men’s soccer received the weekly honor after a stellar performance last week.

AMHERST, Mass. – Sophomore goalkeeper Dean Linden of the men's soccer team earned UMass Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by UMassFive College Credit Union.

Speakers at this week's luncheon will be football head coach Joe Harasymiak and nutritionist Molly Barnes. Cost to attend is $17 ($15.30 for UMass Alumni).

The Minutemen went 1-0-1 on the week, as Linden earned his second and third shutouts of his career. Linden had a 0.00 goals-against-average and a 1.000 save percentage on the week, with no goals allowed and 15 shots saved, in 180 minutes played. In the 2-0 win over Dartmouth, the sophomore stopped three shots, before making a career-high 12 saves in the 0-0 draw at St. Thomas (MN).
