Massachusetts Men's Track & Field Finish Holy Cross and Georgia Tech Invitationals

AMHERST, Mass.- The University of Massachusetts men's track and field team completed a pair of meets this weekend. A select few athletes made the trip down south to the Georgia Tech Invitational while the majority of the squad competed in the Holy Cross Invitational.

- Aaron Fishler was the top finisher in the hammer throw with a toss of 156' 10".
- Emmanuel Simon was the solo Minuteman in the triple jump. The freshman came in fourth with a jump of 42' 9.75".
- Anthony Pizzano had a podium finish in the javelin throw, placing third with a mark of 185' 6". Freshman Elijah Wolinski also placed in the event, finishing in sixth.
- The Minutemen took three of the top four spots in the 2000m steeplechase highlighted by Matthew George's first place finish. George finished with a time of 5:53.69 while Collin Catherwood claimed second and Riley Cole took fourth.
- Senior Owen Mullahy ran the 1500m with a time of 3:59.38 to finish sixth.
- Three Minutemen had top eight performances in the 400m hurdles. Alec Pascoe's time of 54.67 was good for second while Chris Scalia and Elijah Wolinski came in sixth and seventh respectively.
- Senior Surafel Mengist won the 5000m with a finishing time of 15:07.50.
GEORGIA TECH INVITATIONAL
- Ethan Clark ran a 10.77 second 100m while Michael Rodia finished in 11.12.
- Joachim Ennoo placed seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 48'. He also jumped 21' 9" in the long jump.
- Godot Gaskins ran the 400m in a time of 47.08 to claim 11th.
