The latest set of NCAA Graduation Success Rate data was released Wednesday.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts Athletics posted its highest ever Graduation Success Rate in the latest NCAA Division I Academic Performance Program report, at 90%. The latest data set included information from the 2014-15 to 2017-18 freshman cohorts.
Based on NCAA groupings for GSR ratings, seven of Massachusetts' 17 programs earned perfect 100 scores including women's basketball, rowing, field hockey, women's lacrosse, women's soccer, women's swimming & diving and tennis. The Massachusetts men's and women's cross country and track & field, men's lacrosse and softball also posted rates higher than 90%. Differing from the Federal Graduation Rate, the NCAA GSR holds colleges accountable for student-athletes who transfer to their school, but the GSR does not penalize colleges whose student-athletes leave the institution in good academic standing.
