Team - Camp Week two

Massachusetts Football Preseason Camp Week 2 Roundup

August 19, 2022 | Football

Sights and sounds from week two of preseason at McGuirk Alumni Stadium.

The Minutemen entered the “live period” of training camp in week two, beginning live tackling reps at 11-on-11 for the first time since last season and received a bit of a respite from the heat wave with temperatures dipping into the 70s and 80s. Competition was fierce with many players competing for starting spots, including a rotation of quarterbacks with the first team offense. Head coach Don Brown emphasized the importance of keeping players health and injury-free during camp when he spoke to the media on Thursday saying, “There's a fine line, because you need to get seasoned, you need to get hard and all that stuff. But you really need to know what the hell you're doing so that you can play fast and good things will happen to your team.”

The content has continued to flow in week two with positional breakdowns with the coaching staff on the horizon.
