Massachusetts Football Signs Six To National Letters of Intent

AMHERST, Mass. – Head Coach Don Brown and the Massachusetts football staff announced the signing of six student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on the first day of the December Early Signing Period Wednesday (Dec. 21).
The NLI signees included Zachary Anderson (OL), Donovan Dyson (SAM), Ahmad Haston (QB), Christian LeBrun (VIPER), Peyton Miller (OL) and Jyree Roberts (LB).
Zachary Anderson
OL | 6-2 | 280 | Gaithersburg, Maryland | Quince Orchard HS
- Helped lead Quince Orchard to back-to-back 4A State Championships in 2021 and 2022
- Anderson and Quince Orchard finished 2022 with a 14-0 record and he served as team captain
- Named a 2021 and 2022 MCPS 4A First Team All-County selection
- A 2022 Fall All-Met First Team selection (offense) and a 2022 MPSSAA All-State First Team honoree
- Named one of the Washinton Post's Top-5 offensive linemen in the DMV (2022)
- Also went 14-0 as a junior for a 28-0 record the past two seasons
- A three-star prospect according to 247Sports, MaxPreps and On3
- 31st-ranked recruit in Maryland (On3)
- Played on the varsity team each of the past three seasons
- Holds the school record for deadlift weight (645 lbs.)
- Named to the Academic Honor Roll all four years of high school
Donovan Dyson
SAM | 6-2 | 215 | Bowie, Maryland | St. Frances Academy
- Explosive pass rusher who helped lead St. Frances to a 9-1 record in 2022
- Posted 7.5 sacks, 7 TFLs and over 25 quarterback hurries this past season as a senior
- Dyson and St. Frances finished the season ranked eighth in the country according to MaxPreps
- A three-star prospect according to 247Sports and On3
- As a junior earned one of St. Frances' Player of the Game awards and also totaled 11.5 sacks for the season to go along with 7 TFLs
- Played varsity football for St. Frances each of the past three seasons and totaled 20.5 sacks in high school
Ahmad Haston
QB | 6-3 | 195 | Royal Palm Beach, Florida | Palm Beach Central HS
- Helped lead Palm Beach to a 12-2 record and the school's first regional championship in 2022 as a senior captain
- Finished with 2,150 passing yards and 38 passing touchdowns on the season
- Also added 12 rushing touchdowns in 2022 for 50 total touchdowns
- A three-star prospect according to 247Sports and On3, he was the 2021 Sun Sentinel Palm Beach 8A-6A Offensive Player of The Year and a Super 11 selection
- Also in 2021, he led Palm Beach Central to its first ever undefeated regular season as the Broncos made regional finals in Florida's highest classification and finished 13-1
- Totaled 3,108 yards as a junior and rushed for 486 yards while accounting for 38 total touchdowns
- For his high school career, had 85 passing touchdowns and 23 rushing touchdowns while totaling 7,482 yards
Christian LeBrun
VIPER | 6-0 | 210 | Cherry Hill, New Jersey | Avon Old Farms
- Played in the secondary as well as wide receiver and running back for Avon Old Farms
- Eighth-ranked recruit in the state of Connecticut according to MaxPreps
- Rated by On3 and 247Sports as a three-star recruit
- A First Team All-New England and All-Founders League (defense) honoree
- For his career, totaled 113 tackles, five sacks, 13 pass breakups, 21 TFLs, an interception and two forced fumbles
Peyton Miller
OL | 6-3 | 305 | Westernport, Maryland | Mountain Ridge HS
- Played 10 games as a senior on both sides of the ball
- Made 25 solo tackles on defense and added two sacks, five tackles for loss, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble
- Also had a pair of interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown
- Helped Mountain Ridge to a state finals appearance in 2022 and a semifinals appearance in 2021
- Rated by On3, 247Sports and ESPN as a three-star recruit
- Invited to the 2022 Crab Bowl All-Star game as part of Team Baltimore
- Miller is a first-team All-Area basketball player and also a starting pitcher on the baseball team
Jyree Roberts
LB | 6-1 | 225 | Erie, Pennsylvania | Cathedral Prep
- Team leader with 53 solo tackles as a senior
- Added 21 assisted tackles for 74 total tackles on the year
- Also had three sacks and two quarterback hurries
- A 2022 All-Erie Times District 10 Big School selection
- Rated a three-star recruit by On3 and 247Sports
- MaxPreps rated him as the 19th-best recruit in Pennsylvania
- A First Team All-Region selection
- Carries a 4.00 weighted GPA
- Older brother, Jerry, is a linebacker for Arizona
